Hi, I'm Meri. I have been in the fitness industry for 25 years helping people like yourself feel better both physically and mentally. I am by no means perfect, but my experience has helped me build the skills I need to help others.
I have strived to be the best version of myself as a person and in my modalities. I know your struggle and pain, as I have had my own issues that I have worked through.
My experience makes me specialised in pre/post rehabilitation, as well as, core strength and personal training. All my modalities are about how to look after my body, with a starting focus on the prevention of injuries.
Pilates This class is for everybody who loves Pilates to help their body inside and out. I would describe Pilates as a typical “less is more” or “ quality more than quantity” type of class.
Please drop all the expectations on yourself before coming to this class so that you can find true core strength. Pilates improves flexibility, builds strength and develops control and endurance in the entire body.
It puts emphasis on alignment, breathing, developing a strong core, and improving coordination and balance. The core, consisting of the muscles of the abdomen, low back, and hips, is often called the "powerhouse" and is thought to be the key to a person's stability.
The Pilates' system allows for different exercises to be modified in range of difficulty from beginner to advanced or to any other level, and also in terms of the instructor and practitioner's specific goals and/or limitations. Intensity can be increased over time as the body adapts itself to the exercises.
Booty Pilates Woohoo! This class has more fun components to it! Different Pilates apparatuses allow for a variation in Pilates general exercise also use music for a little boogie! Please attend Pilates general class at least 3 times to learn Pilates principles and foundation before challenging yourself with this class.
Pre/Post natal Pilates This class is designed for the mothers who has a little one... not only strength your body but also mind. Let's get out from house even if you are not up to.. because there is always helping hands and gentle warm energy awaiting for you . Be socialise with other mothers with bubs!
Semi-Private Pilates Equipment Class - This class uses special Pilates equipment to help build your true core muscles and joint stabilisers in a more dynamic manner. In this session, we will be using equipment such as a reformer, wunda chair, foam rollers, swiss balls, TRX ViPR and BOSU. The nature of this class (max 4 people) is suitable for all fitness levels also I will tailor the exercise for you! You can book with your friends for more FUN!
Stand Up Paddle-Board Yoga / Pilates - Stand Up Paddle-board Yoga/Pilates class empowers your Yoga and Pilates practice. It is tranquil, yet so powerful and fun! Since the platform is unstable, you have to engage your core muscles more for better balance. It also improves awareness of positioning especially when transitioning from pose to pose.
We synchronise our ujjayi (ocean breath) with the sound of the water ripples to unite with the water, while feeling the southern breeze on our cheeks and focusing on our inner balance and strength.
Remember falling is all part of the fun. When you fall, you get wet! The water will catch you gently so don’t be scared, there is a new you awaiting when you let go of the fear.
Kids Stretch - This class is for children who are into a specific sport and keen to improve their muscle condition and curious to learn how to care for their own body. I will provide specific stretches for individual needs (depending on their specific activity)
